In March 2024, Osamu started a new position as the CEO of Mars Equity and as a Board Member at Mars Equity & Mars Debt Funds in Singapore.
A 26-year veteran with MUFG, Osamu has accumulated an extensive background in corporate & investment banking through senior postings across MUFG’s global network. He joined the then Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi’s Nihonbashi Corporate Banking Office in 1997 before joining their European Business division in London in 2001. In 2017, he became a senior member of MUFG Americas’ GCIB Planning Division in New York before becoming the Managing Director of the Bank’s GCIB Planning Division in Tokyo in 2019. Before joining Mars, Osamu was appointed Managing Director and Deputy Head of Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) for APAC at MUFG Bank Ltd in April 2023.
Osamu holds a Master of Science in Business from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Law from Tokyo University.
